The places to visit can vary greatly depending on the time of year you visit the city. For example, the well-known Mount Catedral, which is a very famous ski center in winter, becomes the ideal place for hiking in summer.
Another of the most popular excursions among tourists who come to Bariloche are the Short Circuit (half day) and the Long Circuit (full day). With these, you will get to know the most interesting points of the city and its characteristic Nahuel Huapi lake, and you will have incredible panoramic views of its landscapes.
Besides Lake Nahuel Huapi, where we recommend you to not miss the Andean Crossing tour and the visit to Victoria Island, Bariloche is full of lakes and rivers where you can walk and do adventure sports. For example, in Puerto Blest, Lake Frías Boat Tour & Los Cántaros Falls trip is a very popular option, the Villegas and Manso rivers are perfect for rafting and the tranquility of Lake Gutiérrez makes it ideal for kayaking. In addition, you can see some of these points at your leisure if you visit Mount Tronador or take a horseback ride through the Patagonian steppe.
For those tourists who like to combine nature excursions with visits to the most beautiful cities in the area, San Martín de los Andes and El Bolsón are a must in this Argentine region.
