Natal, the capital of Rio Grande do Norte, is known as the city of the sun because it enjoys sunny days all year round. The city was developed between the Potengi River and the sea, which is why it is home to impressive landscapes, marked by the contrast between the blue sea and the dunes covered by the Atlantic forest. In Natal you can find different monuments which tell its history, such as the Forte dos Reis Magos (Fortress of the Three Wise Men), which dates back to the founding of the city. You will also find historic buildings that were involved in World War II. In the city you will also be able to appreciate the panoramic view of the modern Arena das Dunas, the stadium where the 2014 World Cup was held. During the tour you will be able to learn about the culture of Natal, its crafts and gastronomy. On your visit to Cotovelo Beach you can try the typical local cuisine (not included) and enjoy the warm waters of this charming beach.
