Cotopaxi National Park

Description

We will meet early in the morning to leave Quito, on a trip that will last 2 hours to the Cotopaxi National Park. We will travel by the Panamericana Avenue, crossing small villages and grasslands on the way to the volcano. From the transportation vehicle, we will have the opportunity to see the diversity of flora and fauna as we enter the park. We will reach the 4500 m a. s. l., from where we will begin a walk until the 4800 m of altitude. Here, we will witness the majesty of the Cotopaxi Volcano, which is part of the Avenida de los Volcanes (Avenue of the Volcanoes). After enjoying the view and taking pictures, we will return to our vehicle to check the equipment and to start the bike ride to Limpiopungo Lagoon. Afterwards, we will take our transportation to the restaurant where we will have lunch. Finally, we will go back to Quito.
