What to bring
We’ll kick off the Christ the Redeemer + City Tour with our first stop at Corcovado Mountain (713 m), home to the iconic Christ the Redeemer, an Art Deco statue standing 38 m tall and one of Rio de Janeiro’s most famous landmarks. Depending on the option you select, you can travel the mountain by van or train, crossing Tijuca National Park, one of the largest urban forests in the world.
Next, you’ll continue to other must-see spots around the city. You’ll stop by the outside of Maracanã Stadium (no entry), see the Sambadrome (Sambódromo Marquês de Sapucaí), the main stage for Carnival parades, and visit Rio’s Metropolitan Cathedral (Cathedral of Saint Sebastian), known for its unique architecture. To finish with color and culture, you’ll stop at the Selarón Steps, a vibrant mosaic made with tiles from around the world.
