The railway, built in the 1920s, takes you across the impressive La Polvorilla Viaduct, an engineering marvel standing 207 ft high and 735 ft long, offering breathtaking views of the Andes. Breakfast is included, and we’ll return comfortably to Salta by bus, with a stop in the village of Santa Rosa de Tastil, which once had a population of more than 3,000 people and is now one of Argentina’s most important archaeological sites.
