• Because the tour reaches 5,000 m (16,404 ft) above sea level and takes place in a limited-space vehicle, the following people cannot participate:
  • Children up to 7 years old (minimum age required: 8).
  • Adults over 65, unless they present a medical certificate stating they are in optimal condition to do activities above 5,000 m (16,404 ft).
  • People who weigh more than 100 kg (220 lb) (due to the vehicle’s limited space).
  • Pregnant women.

Start: Day 1 at 10:00 am at your accommodation in Uyuni.

End: Day 3 at 1:00 pm in downtown San Pedro de Atacama or at the bus terminal (this end time may vary due to weather conditions or force majeure, so we recommend scheduling your departure from San Pedro de Atacama for the day after the tour ends).

Day 1: Uyuni - Train Cemetery - Uyuni Salt Flat

We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Uyuni in the morning to begin the adventure in a 5-passenger 4x4 vehicle, which will accompany us throughout the trip. On the first day, you’ll visit:

• Train Cemetery, a unique site where old rusty locomotives create the perfect backdrop for photos.
• Colchani Village, the best place to learn about artisanal salt production and purchase authentic local souvenirs.
• Salt Museum, built entirely with blocks of salt extracted from the salt flats.
• Incahuasi Island, a limestone island in the heart of the salt flats, famous for its giant cacti and panoramic views from the top.
• Sunset at Uyuni Salt Flat, a breathtaking display of colors that turns the horizon into a postcard-worthy view.
  
  

We’ll end the day at the hostel, where you’ll enjoy dinner and well-deserved rest.

Day 2: Altiplanic Lagoons - Siloli Desert

After breakfast, we’ll depart from Colcha K towards the Chiguana Salt Flat, surrounded by active volcanoes. Along the way, you’ll experience the stunning landscapes of the high plateau:

• Cañapa Lagoon, a mirror-like lake surrounded by mountains, often home to Andean flamingos feeding in its waters.
• Hedionda Lagoon, famous for its high sulfur concentration, which gives it its name and attracts large flocks of birds.
• Honda Lagoon, a calm lake where the contrast between its waters and the surrounding desert is remarkable.
• Chiarkota Lagoon, a perfect spot to observe various species of Andean birds in their natural habitat.
• Siloli Desert, a surreal landscape with wind-carved rock formations, including the iconic Stone Tree.
• Red Lagoon (Laguna Colorada), the highlight of the day, a lake with intense reddish tones that is home to more than 30,000 flamingos.

Day 3: Sol de Mañana Geysers - Polques Hot Springs - Licancabur - San Pedro de Atacama

The final day will start very early so you can enjoy the contrasts of the first light of day in the unique high plateau landscapes:

• Sol de Mañana Geysers, fumaroles and steam jets reaching up to 90 °C, creating an impressive natural spectacle.
• Polques Hot Springs, natural outdoor thermal waters where you’ll have the chance to relax while taking in the scenery (depending on the tour’s schedule).
• Salvador Dalí Desert, an enigmatic landscape reminiscent of the surrealist painter’s works, with oddly shaped colorful rocks and mountains.
• Green Lagoon and White Lagoon, located at the foot of the majestic Licancabur Volcano; these lakes are famous for their intense and changing colors.
• Valle de Rocas (Valley of Rocks), an area with curious rock formations sculpted by wind erosion.
• San Cristóbal, a small mining town that preserves colonial churches and local life.
  
  

Finally, you’ll arrive at the border to complete the necessary formalities, and then we’ll continue on to San Pedro de Atacama, where this unforgettable journey through the Altiplano will come to an end.

*From January to April, during the rainy season (Altiplano winter), the itinerary may be modified, such as spending the second night in Uyuni and skipping Incahuasi Island if it’s flooded. At any time of year, routes, visited sites, activity order, and schedules may vary due to weather, road conditions, protests, or lodging availability.

• If you cancel at least 15 days before the tour starts, you will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid.
• If you cancel with less notice than indicated, no refund will be issued, regardless of the reason.
